Choosing the right practitioner matters. At the Bowen Method Center, we combine decades of experience with a thoughtful, individualized approach to Bowen bodywork. Our focus is on providing professional, effective care that respects the body and supports its natural ability to restore balance.
Bowen is the foundation of our practice, not simply one technique among many. Each session is approached with precision and intention, guided by how your body presents and responds. We believe effective care should be individualized, never rushed, and grounded in experience.
Our goal is for you to feel confident in the care you receive and know that your session has been thoughtfully designed for you.

At the Bowen Method Center, Bowen therapy isn't simply one service among many. It is the foundation of what we do.
Our practice is rooted in the original principles of the Bowen Method and strengthened by decades of hands-on experience. We use gentle, precise moves with intention, allowing the body time to respond rather than relying on forceful manipulation or continuous treatment.
This focused approach allows us to tailor each session to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all routine. Every body presents differently, and we believe Bowen works best when the practitioner listens, observes, and responds accordingly.
I am Jessica Allen, owner of the Bowen Method Center. My journey with the Bowen Method began in 2015, when I trained and was mentored by Christine Jones, founder of the Bowen Method Center and a deeply respected figure in the Bowen community.
In 2017, I became the owner of the center, continuing a practice and philosophy that clients have trusted for decades. Since then, I have worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds, helping support relief from pain and tension, improved mobility, recovery, and overall balance.
My approach is calm, attentive, and individualized. I believe the body responds best when it is listened to rather than rushed or forced, and every session is guided by how your body presents and responds that day.

The Bowen Method Center has a long history of providing dedicated Bowen bodywork to our community. Long before Jessica became the owner, the center was built around a commitment to the Bowen Method and the belief that gentle, precise work can create meaningful change in the body.
Jessica began her Bowen training in 2015 under Christine Jones, founder of the Bowen Method Center. Through hands-on training and mentorship, she learned not only the technique, but the thoughtful and individualized approach to care that became the foundation of the center.
In 2017, Jessica became the owner of the Bowen Method Center, continuing a practice that clients had already trusted for many years. Since then, the center has provided thousands of Bowen sessions to people of all ages with a wide range of needs.
Today, we continue to build on that foundation while allowing our work to evolve through experience, ongoing education, and a deeper understanding of how the body responds. The result is Bowen care that respects where we came from while remaining focused on the individual in front of us.

Tom Bowen was a gentle, generous and compassionate man who freely gave his time and talents to help others. He was known for helping anyone in need and often provided care at no charge to those experiencing financial hardship.
Tom had a remarkable ability to observe the body and recognize patterns of tension and imbalance. He continually studied medical and osteopathic texts while developing and refining the gentle, precise approach to bodywork that would eventually become known as the Bowen Method.
His dedication to helping others extended throughout his community. Tom devoted a significant amount of time to working with children with disabilities and their families. He also spent Saturday evenings working with athletes from local football clubs, often continuing for hours as he helped players with their injuries.
Tom also operated a free clinic one Saturday morning each month, where he would treat up to twenty children and adults. He considered his work with children with disabilities especially rewarding. As his health declined, Tom asked Dr. Kevin Ryan to continue the clinic, and Dr. Ryan reportedly kept it open for twelve years following Tom Bowen’s death.
Tom taught his work in an apprentice style and shared his methods directly with only a small number of practitioners. Six men are generally recognized as having studied his approach closely, four of whom were chiropractors. Dr. Ryan was Tom’s final student before his death.
Tom Bowen’s extraordinary dedication to understanding the body and helping others became the foundation of the work that continues today. At the Bowen Method Center, we are proud to honor his legacy and preserve the thoughtful, individualized spirit at the heart of the Bowen Method.
